I don’t think that was his reason at all. He KNEW what he would find and didn’t want to investigate so he could not libel himself. If everything had been hunkey-dorey, he would have had no problems investigating and proving that the transgender parents were wonderful.
I have seen plenty of Christian parents get investigated and there has been no problems, they were exemplary. But you won’t investigate if you already know the answer.

It seems to me, that for many of the alphabet people, their particular letter is the central feature and focus of their lives.
