Both commies and anti-commies arent too happy. Gibraltar is a sore point that crosses political lines.
That sub should have stayed in Rota (hey, thats actually in Spain!) where everyone was fine with them.

Still lots of drone footage from the Ukes. The drones dont really need gps. The bombs dropped by Baryaktar are laser guided.

Gibraltar is not an outpost. It is a British Territory and its residents are Citizens of Great Britain.

Arguably, Gibraltar is one of the most important and strategic navel bases in the world. Location, location, location.

If Gibraltar had a baseball team, you could call them the guardians.. or sentinels

“Rota”,...”now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. A long time.”

The crew might prefer liberty in Rota, but would probably be more at risk of saying something about the sub mission there to the wrong person. Especially if Spain is at all Russia friendly, then spys are more likely.

I found a story about Russian oligarchs who have “killed themselves” recently. I went to the site where this story came from and then to an additional site linked there and listed below. The first suicide/murder(?) happened in January. The most recent two a week or two ago. One was in Spain, another was in England, one might have been in France (don’ remember for sure) the rest in Russia. The wives and children were mostly stabbed multiple times. Does not sound like the way a suicidal father would kill his family, especially if he was pulling a Rommel. It will be interesting to see what details come out about their business activites. Several were bank officials. I am wondering if this was one of the reasons that the sub was docked in Gibralter since one of these men “died” in Catelonia, Spain. Would be interesting to know if the sub docked before or after the Russian oligarch was offed.

Given the brutal nature of what is more likely a murder than a suicide, our sub is well advised to stay in Gibralter, rather than Rota. I wonder if the sub will stay there or move closer to the Black Sea. Perhaps negotiations are in process as we write. What executive on vacation axes and knifes his family before committing suicide?
