I think that if Trump would have resigned before Biden took office (especially under a cloud like Jan. 6th) he could not run for President again. I think. Could be wrong, and if I am the left would still hit him with it so badly that he probably wouldn’t win anyway.
My belief is all who were involved in election fraud, including planning the conspiracy, permitting the conspiracy, and covering up the treasonous conspiracy, should be executed, and families stripped of all financial and securities accounts.
