Attention Parents... OK, Attention Baby Mama: If you’re not going to teach your kids to respect authority (or anything else) at least teach them this: (I have thoughtfully put it into a rhyme for those predisposed to not listen to, or learn from, anything that doesn’t rhyme):
Comply - Don’t Die
See, I even made it rhyme so you can use it in your next Rap “song”.
I’m a white mom of two white boys and a white girl ... not worried about her so much, but the boys are smart asses like me ...
I have told them the drill if they are stopped by the cops. Hands on the steering wheel, no sudden moves, tell them what you are reaching for, be absolutely cool and polite.
And if they are asked why they are stopped, don’t volunteer anything.
Every parent needs to have this conversation with their kids no matter who they are or where they are from.
Too late. It’s dying on ones feet vs. living on ones knees.
This needs to be said loud, proud and often:
Fighting with cops, resisting arrest, and running will get you shot. Don’t do it. Rights are defended in court, not on the streets.
Im white, and I clearly remember “The Talk”.
I go the other way, we should encourage black women to raise their children to be confrontational towards police and Never Ever obey any commands given by the police. It is much more entertaining and serves the same purpose as Abortion on Demand
There’s money to be had in outrage.
They have near zero impulse control.
If they want to save black lives, black females need to keep their knees together and the government needs to stop incentivizing illegitimacy and trans-generational welfare dependency.
😅
Oh please. Saving lives of people of any skin color is not the nature of the left.
yep, gave my son the same speech. i guess not resisting arrest is white privilege.
ditto. it really ticked me off in 2020 when I heard blacks talk about the talk as if they were the only ones giving it. but, based on conversations with my black friends their talk is a tad different than what we gave and got.
It is worse even than resisting arrest, it is offensive aggression toward police officers.
They should quit calling it “resisting arrest” and call it what it is, aggravated assault on a peace officer.
I’m not white and never have had a problem with the police.
Ever.
I also dress like a normal person, generally professionally; I am not as ass in public, don’t walk around with a chip on my shoulder, don’t use drugs, don’t drink excessively in public, and don’t break the law except moderate speeding on empty highways in my well-maintained and clean car.
Somehow made my way to my 50s without a problem.
Amazing.
They be out in the streets fighting the gangs instead of the police.
A much useful “Talk” is John Debyshire’s “The Talk: Nonblack Version”
https://www.takimag.com/article/the_talk_nonblack_version_john_derbyshire/
He was unarmed, pinned on the ground, and shot in the back of the head. How does that make him a thug?
