If he sends my kids to Ukraine he will get a war alright, just maybe not the one he is thirsting for.

The way I see it is we should follow the emBASEee strategee.

The Budapest Agreement was an “accession” to a signed international United Nations, ratified nuclear nonproliferation treaty. The Ukes honored it and gave up those nukes. The Rukes violated it twice by invading twice, by happenstance it was when there were weak-kneed democrap presidents in office whom Vlad knew would not do anything about an invasion. And the USA has been looking for all kinds of ways to abrogate our responsibility in this treaty/agreement even though it points to disaster down the road for nuclear nonproliferation.

So when I say give back the Ukes their nukes, it is an acknowledgement that nukes are sovereignty. They gave up some nukes in exchange for “assurances” for borders and sovereignty. Since they are in an existential war, who are we to scold them for building nukes since that is what we did when we were in our existential war, and we are the ones who have betrayed them.

If the Ukes develop and deploy a suitcase nuke on a Russian city, it is because they got pushed into an existential corner. What we really should be doing is putting CONVENTIONAL forces into this fight in a way that genuinely “assures” borders and sovereignty for a country that did the right thing. After all, the Russian bear has been shown to be rather toothless compared to what most of us thought they would be in this fight, so the US would kick some serious @$$.

And if we send in American boots on the ground, we damned well better be negotiating American Land as the thing to fight for. Big, sweeping American EmBASEees along the border between Russia and Ukraine. A Lend Lease project. Americans fighting for American land. For generations we could use that land to build airports and fight terrorism in that region. I would call it the BBudapest AAgreement LLend LLease program because it would take BALLs.

Sorry.

Coons better shut up, they killed the last person who said the Americans should take the Russians out ... Patton and it was our CIA and politicians who did it.

A force on force fight with another nuclear power is desired only by fools. But a kind quasi war conflict with NATO protecting western Ukeland and Kiev is ask Street wet dream and Pentagonland as well.

Nah. No we don't.

Neither NATO or the US is providing very much help, despite the panic porn that's peddled around here by shills.

The Russians, true to their long tradition, are killing civilians and destroying towns, while Putin barks, "how dare you duck when I throw things at you! And besides that, you faked it all!" His troll army repeats each of his claims.

The war is costly in lives for the invaded nation of Ukraine, but they are aware that the only way out is through.

Vlad the Imploder, meanwhile, has managed to accomplish the opposite of what he claims he set out to do (other than the ridiculous fictions and pretexts he spread around with so much eager help).

The Russian army (and navy) is getting whittled down, and will continue to be, and every bluff and threat just brings more of the world out of neutral and into opposition to the gangster state of Putin's Russia.

The Gremlin in the Kremlin has been trying to keep ahead of his own removal by a campaign of fear and intimidation directed at the rest of his own corrupt apparatus.

His invasion is and has been headed into implosion.

Agree! Not just NO, but HELL NO. Not our circus and not our monkeys. We’ve got no compelling reason to stick our big beaks in that conflict - certainly not at the risk of every U.S. citizen or the world by inciting World War III.

The Democrats really need this war don’t they.

About the only thing that could save them now is a nuclear attack by Russia. It appears to me like they are doing all they can to provoke one.

Scott Ritter who is on the ground from the beginning called the Mariupol encirclement 3 WEEKS AGO. He was spot on. He was on Iraq War 1 and Putin pretty much copied Schwarzkopf’s operations on tightening the noose. The Ukrainians are F’d. (not that I care except that Ukraine has long been the Dems and the deep state’s cash laundry machine the past 20 years)

Send US troops to the Ukraine to fight against nuclear armed Russia? Coons needs to get off of whatever drugs he’s on because he’s deranged. I say no, non, nein, nyet to having our GI’s sent to fight the Russkis. The Ukrainians are doing well so far and just need arms and munitions to keep handing the Russians their asses.

An all-out nuclear exchange with Russia would leave China on top and well more than half the US population dead within 6 months. The rest would wish they were dead.

“The Democrats really need this war don’t they.”

The WAR CHANNELS are pumping it 24/7....war drumming as best they can.

According to Democrats, Ukraine is thee number one issue facing America.

Inflation, border chaos, out of control spending, don’t matter.

You said it much nicer than I would have. Like many here, I remember Iraq and the flood of lies from our elected officials.
