I’m not a fan of Oz but two years ago when he said this it made sense.
In the first month, lockdowns meant something completely different: it meant shut down travel from China and other hot spots. Don’t let anyone in.
I was thinking the same thing: It started in Chinese - if they were taking it this seriously, maybe we should too.
It’s dishonest to have this headline as if Oz said this recently - he didn’t.
Trump absolutely MUST withdraw that dreadful endorsement!!
Um, howzabout....no.
The endorsement of Amnesty Senator Rubio is worse.
Kill our pets too? Insane in the membrane

I don’t know where Oz is finding so much scary covid. We just go about our business around here. Everyone would probably be just fine wherever he is if they’d stop testing.
Two year old video!

This is GREAT! Trump should really be an H.R. manager.
What was Trump thinking??
This guy is a full-on jackass communist.
China
In 2007, McCormick spoke as a member of the Bush administration in Beijing, China where he said that “When China succeeds, the United States succeeds...” and that the United States owes “much of the strength and vitality of our economic relationship today to the remarkable success of China’s economic development over the last three decades...”[37] As a member of the Bush administration, McCormick pushed China to appreciate their currency, but opposed protectionist policies such as tariffs.[23] However, McCormick shifted his position on China in 2020 praising the efforts take by the Trump administration to counter China.[37]
Free trade
McCormick has vouched in support of globalism and free trade stating in 2008 that “the key to remaining competitive in today’s changing world is embracing openness to trade, to investment, and to people.”[37] He has argued that the benefits of free trade outweigh the downside of displacing American workers and has suggested retraining those who whose jobs have become obsolete.[37] McCormick supported the Trans-Pacific Partnership.[37]
Globalism
McCormick has championed the role of a strong United States on the world stage and has advocated for the idea that the United States can focus on addressing domestic issues while also leading global efforts to promote human rights.[23] In 2016 he stated, “If we are to promote equality and pluralism around the world, we must walk towards, rather than away from, our unique success in advancing these values at home while still embracing the idea that America is, and always will be, a work in progress...”[23]
Immigration
McCormick has called for increasing skilled immigration to the United States and supports building a border wall on the US-Mexico border.[31][38]
LGBTQ rights
In 2013, McCormick joined 131 other Republicans in signing an amicus brief filed at the United States Supreme Court supporting the legalization of gay marriage prior to Obergefell v. Hodges.[39] During McCormick’s tenure as CEO of Bridgewater Associates, the company’s policy was to fully pay for gender transition surgery.[40] However, during his campaign for Senate, McCormick stated that he opposes federal funding towards gender transition surgeries and transgender girls participating in sports.[40]
