I am a US Army and Marine lifer, and still serving under the DoD. I have served with 18th Airborne Corp, I-Corp (1st Group), was long integrated into CJSOTF - I, A, AF, and been J4 q’d and integrated into multiple C2’s, deployed many times, and on numerous other missions. I have many famil members who have served in uniform, including one who was a Lt. General before and during Vietnam, and a Great Grandfather who fought at both the Battle of the Marne, and the *Battle of the Bulge in WWII.

I expect this from main stream media and press, and “entertainment”, “educational institutions”, younger illiterate generations, but this should not be happening here on FreeRepublic.
I am a hard core ideological conservative, politically, economically, and socially, with stronger faith and science grounded beliefs against homosexuality (sodomy) by far, than most on FreeRepublic. Although I do not hate them, and God can still bring those out of it.
There are few in FR who could be more anti-humanist, anti-left, anti-socialist, or fully recognizing the generational evil and death leftism has brought to our nation, and the current and simultaneous leap toward global socialist totalitarianism.
While still a dirty rotten sinner, only saved by Goda grace, I am an unashamed God loving Christian and conservative.
The cornerstone of true conservatism (and arguably patriotism), is the pursuit of truth, as all other necessary principles of liberty and freedom derive from truth.
The leftist world denies the truth, and is motivated by the lust and pursuit of power and ascendency of self, and self over an enslaved society. Their strategies rely on historical illiteracy, rejection of context, then non-realistic emotionalism, and finally degradation (psyops) of the person or people group they seek to destroy.
Historically, this is how they are segregate and attempt to separate people from truth and context. They mock those they seek to silence and destroy.
Thus Ukraine scenario, and the lead up to it is far more involved and complicated than most can grasp. At will, the globalist left truly has most conservatives wrapped around the wrong axle, and has used multiple layers of reception and psychological influences.
We are all in the same boat in any ways. But if we truly want to know what is going on, and how various current points intersect with recent past, and have developed, every one of us with an ounce of integrity will need to swallow our pride, and at times accept where we may be wrong.
Worse, we still will not get everything right.
To really track who is who today, and what their beliefs and goals are, we would need to go back, and very carefully follow them.
At the moment, most “patriotic” and “conservative” Americans are clueless as to the real character of key leaders involving current events, and therefore easily sucked into leftist type “bumper sticker” slogans. Or worse, they are not really not moral or principled patriots and conservatives, and see everything happening today as a way to elevate and feed their own pride.
I am the antithesis of all things left, and therefore all things neocon, fascist, nazi, socialist, totalitarian, etc...
When I speak of Ukraine, some would argue it is anecdotal, and blow it all off. Especially when narratives are potentially on the line.

The UA Army took roughly 2,100 UA Guard, and by order integrated the infamous Azov BN, establishing the Bde at roughly 2,500. Not a large Bde, but a Brigade nonetheless.
For a different reason than you may think, for some time now, the infamous Azov BN has actually been part of a weird fight between UA neo-NAZI’s fighting heavily armed Russian neo-NAZI’s, which had long been working to destabilize UA government and law enforcement, not only in Eastern UA, but also in Kiev and accross UA.

Historically, there are several structural reasons for this. As well, at their core, most Nazi’s are socialists and common evolutionary humanists.
