Is it just me, or don’t these good news threads always end up like ghost towns, while the latest sky is falling or “Republicans are bad” threads stretch on for page after page.

It just seems very odd to me.

The previous R incumbent won by 18%. This newbie R won by 32%. 2024 could be an interesting midterm in NY.

It really doesn’t mean much, nor does it distract from big Republican wins all over the country this week, despite your trying hard to make something out of nothing.
You wanna try again?

No, it’s not odd. As soon as they read the good news the Eeyores bite cyanide capsules and deax men don’t post.

Just like the water empties out before a tsunami, these special elections portend the same thing.

Since election night 2021, we’ve been seeing consistent double digit swings from 2020.

It’s looking like a 12-15 point average swing.

That means one thing for November.

Red wave.

Being New York state, I can only imagine what kind of “Republican” Brown is. Not impressed.

Unfortunately, you are exactly right! Its strange, I always thought of leftists as the people who view themselves as victims. Now some on our side are getting into it too. Its incredibly depressing to come on here and see the eeyores and all their negativity daily!! I think the only way we win things is if we see ourselves as winner. People want to vote for a happy warrior not a Debbie downer 😉

Rats have been hemorrhaging that district ever since it was first drawn in 2012. There’s more going on there than just Brandon’s dementia.

Would be good if someone on the ground could fill us in…

I think people are holding their breathes and hoping for the best. We scored a victory last week on the fraudulent redistricting but of course another judge came in and reinstated it pending appeal.

That said- i intend to be very active this fall helping conservative candidates in this state

Republican enough to reverse no bail laws. And transgender grooming. And maybe restore the death penalty.

“Brown and Lobl are both Orthodox Jews who self-identify as politically conservative, and who squared off in a race mostly based on party affiliation rather than policy differences.”

Well at least in that district it suggests which party is getting more of the Orthodox Jewish vote, and that result is a good thing.

Sorry, but no Republican of that caliber is electable in NY.
