I can remember when a fairly liberal coworker at the job came in in a huff, complaining that he somehow owed several thousands of dollars more on his income tax return because of his Obamacare policy. He made “too much“ money to be subsidized at all, and the plan was far more expensive than the one he could’ve gotten at work. All I could do was smile inside and hope he learned something about socialized medicine.

I’m trying to recall what my insurance policy was like ten years ago. It was a PPO for four people, 20 copay for office visit 80% coverage for emergency visits and pro surgical procedures = 460 per month.

Today I have an HMO for two people, 6000 deductible per year, 80% coverage for ER visits and surgical procedures AFTER deductible is satisfied = 1600 per month

One thing I can say for certain is I loved my insurance in 2012. Now it’s expensive and it sucks. So go p*ss up a rope at your new Hawaiian estate, O’bunghole.
