You might be right, but really ‘The Great Reset’, just like {gasp} the phrase ‘New World Order’, or allegations of the Hand Of Soros, or the stuff over what any president’s kid does short of launching a nuke really don’t matter except to people who have an ideological framework. Few people do, but the ones who do make a lot of noise.
The vast majority, I think, are in the middle and most have some issues on which they identify with the Right and some with the Left; for example most people think that folks should be able to own guns, but most people know folks who damned well should *NOT* have one, regardless of how that might offend someone who thinks constitutional rights an absolute not subject to limitation, or that we need to be able to defend the nation but really have no business in ‘regime change’ or a need for 800 bases in 80 countries.
On the right we have three issues that energize: abortion, guns, and taxes. On the left they have perceived racial inequity, economic inequity, and mean tweets.
Politics is the art of the possible, it’s all about compromise and the greatest good for the greatest number, not some Absolute Truth, at least when the people who actually decide elections vote.

I suspect it is exactly something along those lines, but wish the truth would be revealed quickly because a delayed correction will not undo the damage.
