To sum up the original essay, the writer states that Russia has the military might to conquer Ukraine.

Just like Napoleon had the military might to invade Russia, obliterate Smolensk, force the Russians off the battlefield at Borodino and occupy the city of a thousand cupolas.

HOLDING Ukraine with Russian troops and then SUPPORTING a puppet regime might wind up being a tad more tricky.

If this were more than wishful thinking... we would likely not be bombarded with nonstop propaganda 24 / 7 related to this conflict. I apologize for trying to maintain some semblance of reality.
