This is not only an issue in Melrose Park.

I noticed, watching old 80s TV shows, that government employees, specifically Federal government employees, were often portrayed as incompetent boobs.

That is true. But they are now local street gangs more or less.

But they are around and still deal in juice. and stuff like that.

They’d take care of the problem for this couple. Nice and quiet like.

I honestly hope that mayor goes to prison.

That’s just abominable. I hope this goes viral and that the mayor becomes persona non grata in that town.

That Mayor Serpico sounds like a nasty, egotistic, vindictive jerk and he needs to be prosecuted for his thuggish power trip.

That cop would have his hands full down here in Pensacola. While my neighborhood is in decent shape, there are houses down the road with all sorts of things in the front yards, including motor vehicles.

As someone else in the comments indicated, Melrose Park is a longtime Chicago Outfit stronghold.

My guess is this couple or more likely the son did something to piss off one of the made guys. The mayor and city council are following orders coming down from the local Tony Soprano to make their life hell.

Maybe in a just world but this is Illinois and outsiders just don’t realize the level of corruption here, including the judiciary. Places like New Jersey, New York, Louisiana are just pikers compared to the Land of Lincoln when it comes to gov’t officials and the shenanigans that go on here. And the only time anyone is caught and punished is when the feds decide to go after one of the many fish in the barrel they have to shoot at.

In most states it would be huge news if their Governor or former Governor went to prison. In Illinois at one point recently it was 4 of the last 7 who went to jail (and the other 3 just didn’t get caught/targeted).

We can expect much more of this from these broke ass municipalities. Chicago holding cars for ransom will look like childs play.

Which of the mayor’s family or business partners wants this property, and for what reason?

The Cozzi yard is neater than most. What’s the mayor’s yard look like?

Tell the city they’re getting their Vit D from a natural source so they aren’t spreading covid around City Hall when they file motions. How can the mayor be against stopping covid, huh?

I’m going to go out on a limb and say this is not the rattiest looking house in Melrose Park. By the way, the grass could use a little tidying up. Use an edger.
