Promises were made to Ukraine. Some can’t seem to get that into their dense brains. There is nothing wrong with sending arms. I hope you aren’t in my country if we are ever invaded.

The problem with broken promises is that nobody believes in your subsequent promises. The US has made a string of promises in recent years that it has not kept.
It does not matter that the promise was made by a US government you despise (Clintons in this case). This affects all US foreign policy for decades.

I don’t know the details of that promise, but I doubt that we promised we’d defend Ukraine if they threatened to nuke up.

Zelensky broke the agreement when he threatened to nuke up last year. Probably shouldn’t have done that.
Note - threatening is very far from doing.

Threats mean thing, as Zelensky is learning, which is why it’s not a good idea to install an actor with zero political experience.
Also note that he NEVER withdrew that threat.
