His observations: (26:40 min) 2004 - 2010 the Russian military did not impress him, conscript army, no NCO core, junior officers are bad, command officers corrupt, don't train on what they need, and what they use on parades is not what is going on in the field. They have a professionally corrupt army at the top that doesn't know how to fight from 1st lieutenant downward.
(36 min) He argues that the generals are getting killed in front line tactical operations. They are not leading operations, they are getting into tactical combat. So there is something extremely wrong with the Russian's junior officers and NCOs.
They would not be risking their personal lives, if everything was going according to plan.
In any war, the enemy gets a vote.
Since they’re just pummeling the Russians into the ground now, I guess they don’t need our help or money after all.
18.re “Any transgendered ones”?
Don’t know but maybe a few were Transcaucus ones!
Get your mind out of the gutter. If you can’t have an intelligent debate here without using coarse language, then you’re in the wrong place.
All four of those killed were the equivalent rank of a one star in the US Military - what they call Major General, and what we would call Brigadier General.
Sure, I’d believe anything Billy Kristol posts on his site. /s
Friendly fire incidents?
Gotta admit. That’s funny
It is not Kristol talking. It is an interview with Ret. Gen. Mark Hertling. Look him up. The entirely video is worth listening to once.
It’s just that the Ukrainian wit and humor lose much in the translation.
As disgusting as the Zelensky bag lickers, who are legion.
“Last week, official Ukrainian sources noted that there are about 20 generals in the Russian forces that are part of the invasion of Ukraine.”
Doesn’t that 150,000 invasion force seem to be a little top heavy with Generals?
I listened to the interview that you posted. He is a very knowledgeable guy. Thanks for posting.
Bottom line: He says that Russia does not have enough combat power in the Ukraine to take what they are trying to take, so they will likely just bombard the cities.
Highlights the dichotomy between Russian field officers & our own armchair, computer monitor generals in my view.
i thought they were = O6
“Any Russian Grunts killed yet or just high ranking officers?”
It appears all Russian Grunts were summarily promoted to Generals of various rank.
I heard a former general say yesterday that Russia only has about 10 days (9 now) before they are out of ammunition, and people and equipment.
