Why not price controls that will lead to gasoline shortages and ultimately gas rationing.

And here we thought that AOC was the most idiotic person on Capitol Hill. Senator Lie-a-watha is leaving the bartending pole dancer in the dust with this one.

Tax members of Congress at twice the rate of everyone else and only give them half the benefit of and exemptions or deductions … and the liability should continue for a full five uninterrupted calendar years after they leave office or any subsequent professional lobbying.

It’s like the dems are using Jimmy Carter’s playbook for failure. It’s 1979 all over again; they’re even bringing back Carter’s windfall profits tax.
If they’d just check how it went last time, they’d see that oil companies just passed the cost on to consumers, driving prices even higher and forcing Carter to drop it.

Of course they wont stop spending.
They want to destroy the currency.
Look at what obama did to the debt,
Its just the continuation of that

The oil companies will make zero profits if the gas pumps are empty.
To: SeekAndFind
If oil profits increase (by percentage, not by dollar volume) during the crisis, a tax on the increase is not unreasonable. But oil is already taxed substantially.

Government taxes on a gallon of gasoline are already nearly as high as what the oil companies charge for producing it. And the government doesn’t do a single thing to produce a gallon of gas.
Who is greedy?

Washington State is REALLY greedy.
Fed tax on a gallon of gas is 18.4 cents.
Washington state is 49.4.
So a total of almost 68 cents a gallon! At least it isn’t based on the price of gasoline.
(That is for everything else except food in the state. So along with inflation you get another 10% added onto the inflation.)
