He is a dumb ass. Like most electric car loves, he seems to think electricity comes from unicorn farts, not from burning fossils rules. Or the environmental mess created by manufacturing the batteries.

But that is liberalism, living in a a gash world and rejecting anything that challenges that world view.

I paid $111.00 yesterday to fill my truck and $77.00 to fill my wife's car. Next week I will do it again. $700-$800 a month hurts. It ain't a buck or two.

Shut up and buy a Tesla.

If I had to guess, I'd say the waiting list to buy a Tesla right now is months long.

When the full ramifications of this bizarre anti fossil fuel crusade becomes apparent, people will hold Colbert and his ilk responsible for the deprivations, poverty, famines, socialand political disorder and the carnage of the wars.

Just another garbage elite who doesn’t pump his own gas or stand in a grocery check-out line.

I drive very little but I know working age folks in my little town that are really hurting due to gas and food prices..

Some live 50 miles from where they work every day...ouch!

I was just figuring my loses since Biden was put into office.
It stands at about 230,000.00 when all investments and inflation are factored in...beam me up.

If I was young again I’d buy a ticket and head to Mars with Elon...lol

Sure, when you have millions paying a few more at the pump (or having your driver pay a few more at the pump with your credit card) is no big deal.

But for a large percentage of the US that takes a very real bite out of the rest of the budget. That means maybe you don't drive to go see the relatives this weekend. Or the thermostat gets bumped down just a bit more. Or it's hot dogs and Ramen instead of Hamburger Helper for dinner. Maybe those clothes will just have to do for a few more months. Those shoes, a little tight and with beat-down insoles will just have to stretch for a few more weeks until the earner(s) in the family can pick up another shift or some OT or a part-time job...

Increased gas prices hurt a large percentage of the population in very real, very immediate ways. Increased prices shift a lot of money directly to fuel companies and governments via taxes. Money that is no-longer going to other areas of the economy. No more dining out - sure the linen tablecloth and genuine silver level restaurants will still see their customers. But the Applebees and Culver's level "eating out" takes a big hit. Entertainment, maintenance, etc. all get put off or cut back.

You want the economy moving again, we need access to relatively inexpensive and plentiful energy. The current illegal administration's policies are doing just the opposite - making energy more scarce and expensive.

“Shut up and buy a Tesla”

bigbob, this is coming from a guy who owns an EV (not a Tesla, by the way).

EV’s are not the solution to either the Russian/Ukraine conflict or the Progressives jihad against our vital domestic energy industry. And that industry provides the electricity for your car.

So stick your charger where the sun don’t shine.

If I was worth $75 million I wouldn't worry about $4 a gallon one bit. If I was worth $2 million I wouldn't worry about $4 a gallon much.

But I'm not...so I worry.A lot.
