He admitted he did what he was accused of in civil trial. Sometimes all you can get is a big settlement award and move on with your life.

In return, there was an agreement not to try to bring criminal charges.
She then brought criminal charges.
She now OWES him a refund of the ‘go away’ money !
Furthermore, she could never even establish the DATE for the alleged transgression.
The best they could get was a SEASON for the time for the alleged transgression.
Plus she drove over to his house !
