Forget Cawthorn and the facts of this case - this is a victory for Trump, because this entire case was aimed at establishing a precedent that the mere accusation of supporting an “insurrection” could be used to disqualify anyone from running for office. The Dems don’t give a rat’s ass about Cawthorn, they’re scared to death of Trump and are looking for any means, no matter how absurd, to stop him.
