Don’t you mean like the US after Afghanistan?
—
No! that was another war where brutality was eschewed in favor of ROEs which mandated calling lawyers before striking a target and, at one point, having to be shot before returning fire.
Korea was close to a war, but the UN feeding US plans to the Chinese kept it from being a full on war, relegating it to a ‘police action’ ; Vietnam saw the introduction of restrictive ROEs which only became more militarily onerous over time, reaching ridiculous crescendos in Iraq 1, 2 and Afghan.
War is where the winner makes the loser’s cities into rubble and makes the rubble bounce. Old time ROEs were: kill every man woman child baby - except those taken as slaves, where streets were ankle deep in blood. War.
Capture them, hog-tie and keep in a barbed wire enclosure. Let the ICC try and execute them. Their atrocities are easily documented.

I see you are in the kinder-gentler camp. Their only mistake is going public.
If that was me, I hope I would show mercy, as my heart and God tell me to do now.
But I really don’t know what I would do if that was me, not after what they’ve been through so far and knowing what lies ahead for them.
I know where to find the dark side within and it knows how to find me, too, so I’m not going to be a hypocrite and open my mouth and condemn myself even more.
Basically good people quit being neighborly if and when you come into their homes and start killing them and breaking their stuff.
And then it’s O.T. “eye for an eye” justice in the moment and we’ll talk war crimes later … if there is a “later”. Been there on the playground a few times and it’s in me to do, same as it is for almost all of us.
So, may God have Mercy on us all. We’re all lost without it.
no quarter for invaders...
thank you...
BUT Did he grab her by the PU$$E!
What Putin&Co are doing fills me with anger, hate and rage, but a wiser, more legal course, needs to prevail.
LOL!
Taking prisoners means that you have to guard and sustain them. Takes your personnel away from the task of defending your country and food out of the mouths of your troops.
Weren't many prisoners taken in Operation Barborossa on either side.
May I suggest treating the Russian POWs according to the Geneva Convention?

Thanks for sharing. I guess the clowns on here in favor of committing war crimes are a lost cause.
