I sure as hell wouldn't leave my bunker to go supposedly negotiate with Russians somewhere. Not because I'd be selfish about my own life ending, as much as assuming that Ukraine could quickly lose its President which would cause significant chaos in their ability to defend the homeland.
If he can negotiate a ceasefire, then great. Just do it from his safehouse.
