The Olympics were a disaster for the CCP also. Now the man who rose to power because of them may be threatened by the failure.

There is one irrevocable rule in every sub-verse of the multiverse: EVEERYTHING touched by the left turns into really fetid, smelly, stinky s***.
No truer words have ever been uttered.
I feel bad for the American athletes...that’s where my sympathy ends.
Everybody else got what they deserved.
I thought the NFL was finished too. But once again American “patriots” weary.

Well said. And for that reason, I can no longer tolerate Democrats.
0, the numbers of seconds of olympics I watched this year.
I see these athletes like really good guitar players. First, there are a LOT of them and, second, it very rarely even results in fame, much less, money. Excellence needs to be something you pursue to please yourself. That is where the reward lies. And it can be pursued in all sorts of vocations or “hobbies”. Some even pay well.
I confess that I never really had much interest in the Olympics. If the events were that interesting, they would be like professional sports. That is, we’d be watching them more than once every four years. And competition for our leisure time seems to be putting them in the same category as the circus.
The abysmal audio and spotty video didn’t help...
Didn’t watch a minute. Couldn’t tell you who the sponsors were.
Didn’t watch a single second of the CCP Olympics.
Not even curling...
Good quote by Mister Rubio.
Now, if we could convince him that airtight borders were good things...
The Games have lost their name interest in individual athletes, and have become cliche. Can you name a single athlete?
Having China as the host country was the coup de gras.
I didn’t watch a single minute of the Olympics. Same with the Super Bowl.
I watched. I enjoyed the games. Some great performances by several Americans.
Will I buy anything from the sponsors? No.
I remember "Eddie the Eagle." That's it.
Only watched a total of about 15 seconds because flipping through the remote on the hotel TV’s scrolled past the channels featuring the events. Otherwise no eyeball time from me.
I confess, I did watch some. I recorded a lot but ended up fast forwarding past most. No figure skating and NBC’s new obsession with freestyle stuff ran well past my interest. How many different ways can you flip in the air and be judged by a random number generator? Next time I expect them to add freestyle luge and bobsled.
“Viewers stayed away in alarming numbers...”
Isn’t that delightful!
I love the smell of schadenfreude in the morning.
