Putin is a crooked as the day is long, but why should the US take the lead in what clearly is a European problem? Since WWII first the former Yugoslavia and now what? This? The EU is toothless.

I will believe reports when I see it with my own eyes and with a large amount of verification. Anything in the media today about Russia-Ukraine is absolute horse hockey. Earlier I was listening to talking-head ex-generals on CNN/MSNBC/FoxNews; yes all three worthless networks. No wonder we haven’t won a war since WWII. Their analysis is piss poor and only meant to stir public opinion. It is even worse listening to these fruitcake and trans-loving woke generals at the Pentagon. The US military, federal government and mainstream media have zero credibility. (By the way, I am a pro-military guy.)

Simple.He wants war.
Just needs the excuse.
Putin is not a good guy in anyway. Do you really think the Ukrainians would do this with the Russian military staged at the border just waiting for an excuse?
This seems very simple. Oldest trick in the book to start a war .
Pooti Poot now has his excuse for war.
He will bring in a couple of Band Aids and get the pipeline fixed up in no time.

The issue is not whether Putin or Biden is more corrupt, it’s that Putin is vastly more competent.

Biden does not have American interests in mind, in whatever little mind he has left. He is a grifting POS whose only allegiance is to himself, first, last and always.

He most certainly will put our service men in harm’s way while foolishly pursuing his own hidden agenda.

If one American serviceman is killed in Ukraine proper, simply because Joe Biden used Hunter Biden as his million-dollar bag man, and now Joe has to close escrow, the repercussions may produce a House and Senate periously close to GOP super-majorities ... those GOP voters will demand satisfaction, and that is to impeach and remove Joe Biden, as both for ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ and unfitness of character for CIC.

Looks like CIA just blew up Russias gas pipeline that exports natgas to Europe.

Makes Nordstream 2, which Brandon approved, the main source of gas to N Europe.

He may be a thug but please explain to me why he would blow up a money making pipeline that originates in Russia?

From what I have read, I have to begun to wonder whether Putin really has full control over the Donbass militias.

These forces in Donbass facing each other along the line of contact are very different than they were in 2014.

Along the Ukraine side, you have the professional Ukraine military, which has been completely reorganized and requipped along a typical NATO command and control structure and equipped with new Turkish drones that allow them to overfly the separatist positions.

It's not like the Russian propagandists would have people believe that on the Ukrainian side are gangs of Banderite thugs just coming out of a pub roaming around looking to kill Russians and Jews.

And on the separatist side you have a militia of various people united by very strong Russian nationalism, some originally from Donbass, some who have come in from Russia to fight for the cause and some who are non-uniformed Russian military trying to help organize and supply them.

They don't want to be ruled by Ukrainians, they want to be independent and then become part of mother Russia.

But these are not career professional soldiers, they don't have the discipline and strong command structures of professional units.

I read one glowing tribute in a Russian news source to one of the military leaders in Donetsk who was before the fighting (if I recall correctly) a taxi driver. But he proved very adept at fighting and killing and was motivated by strong Russian nationalism and rose to be a leader of the Donetsk militia.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the Donetsk and Luhansk militias are blowing things up to try to get the outcome they want, which is the Russian military coming in officially and securing the area and ultimately folding it into Russia, which is not necessarily what Putin wants.

“The issue is not whether Putin or Biden is more corrupt, it’s that Putin is vastly more competent.”

This is an accurate description. Comparing the two, Putin — as loathsome as he is — is like a mob boss; and Biden is a petty grifter.

Do you have any specific facts to back up what you’re saying that you can share with us?

It would be nice to know some more about this hypothesis before we leap to conclusions as we have done before.

It was irrelevant to the final decision, but it does show the lengths they will go to. Rush was always right about the reason for the first Iraq War: the free flow of oil at market prices. On a certain level, it was “imperialistic,” at least in an economic sense, but so what? It was in our interest. Ukraine? Don’t see it.

The Russian economy is less powerful than that of the state of California. Thus, Blowing up pipelines carrying the only major commodity that Russia exports doesn’t make sense.

“T”ASS (if to be believed) now reporting a second explosion in the pipeline 40 minutes after the first.”

You can only blow up a teensy bit of a pipeline at a time.
