I was heartened how protective floridians have become of their state the last 2 times I’ve been there. When they find out your moving there they confront you. “You won’t be bringing your CA thinking here right?” They have become downright hostile of NY’s moving there. At least thats what I saw in Tampa/Clearwater. Thats the way its gotta be. If your a liberal moving to a red state you need to be made uncomfortable. They need to be shamed. I didn’t see that type of behavior in texas. I too think that texas will go the way of CA. CA use to be red a long time ago too.
Wonder when some shady news about Alexandria Cortez shows up she’s deep in the battle for Pelosi’s job a lot in fighting going on in that party.
Texas certainly isn’t as Red as it used to be when I lived there. It seems adrift these days.
Texas (and the entire South) was ‘democrat’ from when they persecuted and killed off the blacks and republicans at the end of reconstruction to the present day.
The switch to Republican has been slow but steady.
You might want to rethink the trend and the tendencies.
We just now need to break the democrats logjam on the black population.
Everyone that switches in that group are subjected to massive social intimidation to force them to either switch back or to be quiet.
The ISSUE is to hammer home the democrats centuries long toxic, racist history !!!
From the map you provided... notice the parts of Texas that are closest to the Mexican border are the bluest. All you need is for more illegals to move northward, overwhelm the big cities and surrounding suburbds and AOC’s prediction will eventually come to pass.
You’re exactly right. I went back to the ‘92 GE, and the blue (then red dems) is slowly infiltrating northward in Tx, probably due to illegals and dems moving in, slowly taking over Austin and Houston.
We just took a job transfer from Florida to Dallas. It is feeling like a huge mistake. The new arrivals from out west are not going to keep this state conservative. The demographics have changed drastically.
It’s not the illegals coming in that will affect
the voting demographics in the short term -

Correct. It’s their children who remain here that will become
voters at age 18 and will be a big influence as time progresses.
It used to be that a lot of manual labor from down under were
singles. They worked the fields, harvested the crops and returned
home till the following growing season.
Now a lot of them are in construction, etc which is an ongoing
job year round. Thus they stay, have a family and become voters
over time and into the democrat fold. JMO
She is the shiny object.
