I’ve dealt with muslims for many years in my profession. They are all taught to despise Israelis and the “occupation”. I always say to them that if they are in the US they are supporting a much longer occupation than the Palestinian situation. I tell them the Native Americans say the white man stole and occupied our land. So you muslims are supporting a much longer occupation. Response “that’s different”. How? No answer from them. My answer is the world has always been governed by the stronger entity.

What is this "right to exist"?
If it is a "right", is it a natural (self-enforcing) right, or is it a right that requires third party enforcement?
This is very important for the history of the next twenty or so years.
If the "right to exist" is merely a restatement of a "right to self-defense", then it is a tautology. No reasonable person disagrees that Israel can fight her enemies, as long as she has the strength and the manpower, even to the point of conquest and occupation. This is longstanding natural law.
But if "right to exist" burdens any people other than Israelis, then those other people have a corresponding right to have a say in the terms. This is why, in addition to natural law, we have treaties between states setting forth obligations and compensations.
In the peculiar case of Israel, this has become very confused.
The "students who deny Israel’s right to exist". What is it that they deny? On what grounds?
And the reverse: Those who support some sort of "right to exist". What must they do? What must they not do? At what cost? With what return?
