There are several Billionaires walking the earth right now. Most in western countries.
GOP and DEM alike are both invested in maintaining the status quo, while they merely jockey for position and favors within it.
There's a temporary and fragile unity of government, media, entertainment, big finance and academia all vs. society - which can not last. As it starts to crack, will the real tyrants and Stasi-types step to the fore to force acceptance a bit little longer? I can't predict.
Of course they will fight.

The ‘Government subsidies” for EV:
ANY UNION built car by the Big 3 gets a $12,500 subsidy.
Musk isn’t UNION.
Tesla gets a $7,500 subsidy.
THAT IS DISCRIMINATION
Tesla sold more cars than the entire big 3 in 2021.
MUSK paid every loan off early & with all interest.
I need to make clear:
THE BUYERS get the subsidies.....NOT the manufacturers.

And paid a staggering $11 Billion in taxes last year alone.
They did a pretty good number on President Trump.
He had conservative states behind him, he is a smart guy, he may not have as much money as Musk, but he is not poor either.

Well, the subsidies ran out for Tesla some time ago. If you buy a Tesla now there are none from the federal government. Why? Because the subsidies drop out after a certain production number has been reached. I also agree that Elon would be fiscally irresponsible to not take advantage of something the government put in place.
Elon is never going to get clearance for Starship now. The bidon administration is vicious and vengeful. Fortunately, Elon has been talking with the Russia. If you believe what the msm and biden admin is telling you about Russia, you haven’t been paying attention. Look-up the Russian form of government. You’ll find it closely resembles ours, without the corruption.
