Two to one, Biden will insist the new justice be a “woman of color”.

Dems will select a younger person, Asian or black, to fill the seat. Adds a convenient distraction to Biden’s troubles and possible benefit for midterms. They will expedite the process to get a radical justice approved before possible loss of the Senate.

Maybe the Reps should put more effort in uncovering voter fraud in the 2020 GA senate races.

Replacing Breyer should not be a difficult task. All Biden has to do is find another ultraliberal. Beyer has been nothing short of a liberal tool on the court for two decades.

Even his thinking now is liberal supporting. His decision to remain for another year was likely due in large part to the major issues the court was about to confront — abortion, guns, separation of church and state, and potentially affirmative action. These are all matters that he has strong feelings about as a liberal, and he thinks that his 27 years on the court might enable him to prevent a wild swing to the right. Not a very good intent by one who is supposed to a judge and decide on fairness for everyone, not policy for a few.

Biden wants an African American woman and has stated that. The two leading contenders are said to be federal Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who was on President Obama’s shortlist for the court in 2016, and California Supreme Court Justice Leondra Kruger, who served as assistant, and then deputy solicitor general in both Democratic and Republican administrations prior to her nomination to California’s highest court.

For those of you who do not know Jackson, here’s a short list of her work:

In April and June 2018, Jackson presided over two cases challenging the Department of Health and Human Services’ decision to terminate grants for teen pregnancy prevention programs two years early.[23] Jackson ruled that the decision to terminate the grants early, without any explanation for doing so, was arbitrary and capricious.
On August 15, 2018, in AFGE, AFL-CIO v. Trump, Jackson invalidated provisions of three executive orders that would have limited the time federal employee labor union officials could spend with union members.
On September 4, 2019, in Center for Biological Diversity v. McAleenan, Jackson held that Congress had stripped federal courts of jurisdiction to hear non-constitutional challenges to the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security’s decision to waive certain environmental requirements to facilitate construction of a border wall on the United States and Mexico border.
On November 25, 2019, Jackson issued a ruling in Committee on the Judiciary of the U.S. House of Representatives v. McGahn in which the House Committee on the Judiciary sued Don McGahn, former White House Counsel for the Trump administration…

Leondra Kruger is a Biden favorite and has been under the thumb of California politics since her appointment to a judicial position. Conservative organizations are already looking for a way to keep her out by forcing the records of her history. Not a good sign. Or good signs for either.

quote from judge Biden most likely to nominate: Kentaji Brown Jackson

“Stated simply, the primary takeaway from the past 250 years of recorded American history is that Presidents are not kings,”

Someone who believes that, might have voted against the Biden mandates!

Again, it’s hard to go further left than Bryer, and odds are we will get someone more conservative on “some” issues

Interesting announcement a day after Pelosi announced she will be running again and isn’t stepping down like we had heard.

Next future SCJ ...wait for it....A BLACK MUSLIM WOMAN! For sure we would be royally screwed! You know the Republicans would Confirmed her in a heartbeat because our leaders are feckless spineless and have NO fire in their belly! I’m wondering if they’ll do the same thing they did to all three of Trump‘s Supreme Court justices nominees. I doubt it they’re a bunch of effing cowards! They need to carry this for a long long time until the 2022 midterm elections. Just keep declining every candidate until November. The rats are notorious for this! Delay delay delay make it hell for them.

Pragmatic? He is a hard headed leftist jurist. No other way to state it. I can’t think of a time when he joined on a Conservative issue.

The replacement appointment hearings will be so much fun to watch. Note to self, store up on popcorn and beer.

You have to wonder if the Dem’s will try to run this through now, prior to the November election or if they want to make it a Nov 2022 House and Senate election issue. Either way it will be Democratic progressive against “moderate” (in the old days were would have said left wing extremist) Democrat in how radical the replacement appointee will be.

The litmus tests alone should be a hoot. Which protected oppressed people shall the appointee represent? What kind of religious or non-religious views should they hold? What kind of behavior did they have while in high school or college? What were their past decisions? Will they tow the line on court decisions that the woke demand?

Don't forget to stock up on butter and coconut oil for the popcorn.

Well, let’s just see how long the GOP can stretch this out ... although they’ve likely already ceded the seat to high-ranking socialist of the “new” Democrat Party (or Politburo if you prefer.

I saw the glee on the face of the newsreader babe. It must really be a difficult life - hanging on the every action of the White House, and letting one’s happiness depend on it.
