Poland disappeared in 1846, but after WWI it was “reborn,” so to speak. The area of the Ukraine was part of so many countries or interests throughout history (largely because of no natural borders). The westernmost part of what was historically recognized as “Ukrainia,” which was an area, not a country, was absorbed by a great many interests throughout history. Rich in natural resources, it is in a TERRIBLE geopolitical location.

So Russia invades Ukraine…are we supposed to cheer as US troops are sent by Brandon to fight for Ukraine? We have no treaty obligation to fight for Ukraine and only a nebulous moral obligation. Neither are reasons to go to war with Russia. Ironic that the left who have always billed themselves to be anti war are now jingoistic. George McGovern is rolling in his grave.
