I’m surprised Putin hasn’t asked why Brandon has been in favor of just about every war of adventure and military adventurism (since he was in the Senate until now) except this one.
Then he stole President Crypt-Keeper's lunch money and stuffed him in his locker.
This is s-o-o-o humiliating.
Dear Townhall: gauge, not gage.
😜
I'd feel a lot better about the continued viability of the U.S. as a nation impervious to invasion by militarized Mexican cartels if Vlad was the guy responsible for securing our southern border.
I can dream, can't I?
Storm is brewing.
You mean the former Vice President’s diplomatic genius failed to persuade the Russians? I’m shocked - shocked I tell you!
President SippyCup will defend the border of Ukraine but not the US border.

What about DeSoto?
Putie should yank Biden’s - HARD
Frankly, I am concerned about our border with Mexico not Ukraine and Russia.
There’s nothing in Ukraine that’s worth a single drop of American blood or a single nickel of American treasure.

Overall, the problem is the conservation of resource. To attempt to defend everywhere is, according to the old adage, to defend nowhere. Yet, if Hitler is left unmolested in the Rhineland, in Austria, in the Sudetenland, in Czechoslovakia, the sequel is the incursion of all continental European borders and, ultimately, America's fight for survival.
If enough broader incursions occur and we find the Chinese extending a mercantilist/colonialist influence throughout the world with their Belt and Road while they conduct brutal invasions of neighbors, we will ultimately find ourselves isolated and without allies so we will need not fret about the Mexican border because the leftists in our own country will fling open the gates and invite the barbarians in.
So we return to the question, where to defend? Where do our most precious national interests lie? Where is the cost to defend the cheapest, the odds the most in our favor?
Where and how can we change the equation in our favor by enlisting allies? Certainly not by behaving disgracefully as we did in Afghanistan. How do we redeem that? Certainly not by provoking war in Ukraine to cover humiliation. But do we have to exert influence in Ukraine to preserve European allies? Would it work? Are those allies worth it?
Finally, so long as we have Biden in office, so long as the party he represents is in control of the media of America, there is no hope of defending either a border in Ukraine or along the Rio Grande. So long as these people are in charge, the precious resources that we have squandered over the past decades in foreign adventures will be further dissipated at home by profligate domestic spending and mindless Marxist rebuilds.
The problem ain't Ukraine, Pogo.
Russia may miscalculate here. The border situation is merely a tactic to get NATO to promise not to add any other NATO countries.
US/NATO/EU rejected that.
Even weak Biden sent in an additional 180 Javelins, in combo with what Trump sent in. Stingers may be in their as well.
Russia will win, but I wouldn’t want to be a Russian tanker, helo crew, or Sukhoi flyer.
In an age when geography means little for national security, he is risking his country's economy for yesterday's geopolitical realities or for national pride. Ukraine might be the turning point that solidifies Europe, EU, and NATO against Russia or, the other hand, it might be the occasion that Europe despairs of America and scrambles to accommodate The Bear.
Putin is a KGB blunderer.
He put himself into a Lose-Lose scenario.
Invade and Russia is punished severely. Their GDP is just ahead of Spain. But per capita, nearly 50% behind Spain.
If he doesn’t invade he looks like a weak bluffer vs. weak azzed Biden.
