According to Worldometer, Covid deaths worldwide have been declining for about three weeks, even as cases skyrocket.
Hopefully Omicron is signaling the waves of variants to come will become less virulent with each wave. The Delta variant seemed to be quite virulent and Biden did nothing but watch the bodies fall. He is the polar opposite of the proactive Trump would have been warp speeding therapeutics for Delta. Biden did nothing. We are on our own

Exactly what a coworker just said to me on the phone - His reaction (and he’s a tough Hombre) was the same things I’m going through.
“Aches intensified on day 2, specifically my Kidney area which still hurts. Fever down after three days. Not much coughing. at least so far.”
I probably had the original crud just before Thanksgiving 2019.
One of my original symptoms was severe Kidney area pain and even blood in my urine. That was treated with antibiotics and the blood in my urine disappeared. My PPO probably spent a few thousand $’s on every test known to them, and nothing showed up.
I showed up for a few hours at our annual Thanksgiving feast and went home exhausted. A few days later an Adult son had all types of symptoms, which we now know as Covid. He lost a lot of weight and missed a lot of work.
We never received a diagnosis, and that son and I have the same primary care doc at our PPO. When our son asked this doctor if we had the same crud. The doctor said maybe. A couple of months later, Covid became a household word.
It’s definitely a weird thing, Olivia. I could almost sense it probing for weakness. Last night I could feel a sore through coming on, but it went nowhere. Now, I think I’ve got it on the ropes, and I’m winning.
I am worried about my kids - staying away from them, and wearing the stupid mask (out of courtesy, not belief) My Daughter has to go back to College soon. They’re getting tested today.

well, all the case rate data for the whole “epidemic” is now useless.
Since the PCR test is finally acknowledged to NOT differentiate between other flus and COVID.
So have NO reasonable data set on case rates. Not at all. And can’t reconstruct it.
The biggest hoax of my lifetime. My mind reels.
Epiforecasts posts effective reproduction numbers for the US and each state. Maryland has had one of or the highest figures for the ten days I’ve been tracking this, 1.6 today
If their numbers are accurate, then Omicron isn’t that transmissible. The whole country has been either 1.1 or 1.0. This is similar to figures on rt.live, which stopped updates months ago.
