When they hit 10.0 I’ll jump for joy.

When they hit 10.0 I’ll jump for joy. Anything at 8+ is going to cause Californians to flock to other states in numbers far greater than currently.

Global Warming would have been stopped and hence no earthquakes but Manchin voted ‘No’.

Along with last weeks off the Oregon Coast, I think this will be a Cascadia Fault earthquake, The Big One

What I understand talking to geologists is...The Juan De Fuca Fault is in no way past time for the “Big One” as many are harping about.
But, they are worried that a small quake on one end or the other could trigger some of it. How much of it? They do not know.

Hopefully, the next earthquake’s center will be Gavin Newsom’s mansion.

Just 6.2? Oh, come one, we can do better than that. Kalifornica needs the “Big One”.

This particular swarm of quakes is right at the southern end of the Cascadia Megathrust fault.

This particular swarm of quakes is right at the southern end of the Cascadia Megathrust fault. Precisely correct you are.
I'd love to hear an assessment from a seismologist about any potential interaction at the junction between the two faults, and if this might suggest any added, um, concerns among those residing in the coastal areas of WA and OR.
Not suggesting that there is, I just want to hear some experts discuss the matter.

Northern Cal is quite conservative.

This makes me think of the Christmas Earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004.
278,000 deaths.

You’re right, the Cascadia Fault is the one to watch.
