Yes he would. He’s been winning in a deep red state as a Democrat. What makes you think he can’t win the Republican nomination if he switched?
Primaries are base elections. Why would the GOP base chose a RINO squish over a solid MAGA conservative?
The same GOP voters kept voting for this Democrat in this deep red state, even when President Trump campaigned for his Republican opponent the last time.
Let’s see, Eric Greitens switched from Democrat to Republican, and won in DoodleTroll’s backyard. He also won in the general.
Jim Justice did the same thing in West Virginia.
Richard Shelby and Ben Nighthorse Campbell also both switched from Democrat to Republican, survived primaries, and went on to win General Elections.
Ralph Hall and Rodney Alexander also both switched, survived contest primaries and won general elections.
There are literally dozens of State Legislators that did the same thing, including several in West Virginia.
As usual, DoodleTroll likes to opine on things that it doesn’t know about.
