This magnitude of sea level rise for this very reason has happened multiple times in the geological past the evidence is clearly in the stratagraphic record in many Paleo shorelines around the world. It is not clearly understood why catastrophic ice shelf release happens but it does and certainly will again. Adaptation is the only course of action mitigation is out of the question. If the data shows that this ice sheet is entering collapse there is nothing humans can do to stop it. Eustatic sea level changed is part of earth’s history. If it does go people will have a few years to move to higher ground as it takes time for the ice to flow down hill to enter the sea once it’s floating melting doesn’t matter it’s already displacing the water it will melt too.
