I assume neither.
I do assume that doctors treating COVID patients want the best for those patients.
I do assume that they’ve read/heard more about alternative treatments than the average internet poster and know they are not effective.
It is the anti-vaxxer posters who assume that millions of health care professionals are evil enough to participate in a huge conspiracy to deny treatments they know are safe and effective in order to increase the profits of ‘big pharma’.
Sample of one, but absolutely true:
I got a new primary care doc.
When chatting I asked him what he would do if I called him at told him that I was exposed and tested positive for Covid.
He said, tell you to take some Tylenol, it is mild for most people.
Then I said, what if I start to get worse after a day or two, then what would you prescribe?
He said , I would admit you to the hospital, and let the docs that have treated many Covid patients decide.
Not evil, but certainly ignorant. I will likely find a new doc.
They defer, and the follow their “leaders”.
