"...gang, this is a deeply problematic s–t fest about late capitalism.” Now that's just the kind of deep, intellectual analysis we have come to expect from the Left. :)

It just isn’t Christmas until Hans Gruber drops from the Nakatomi Tower.

White Christmas has a blackface minstrel show segment. Pretty sure that will be cut from any showing if they don’t “cancel’ the whole movie.

My wife bought the DVD years ago.
I don’t remember that scene.
Good songs in the movie though.

Wonder how The Grinch is holding up under the new scrutiny. I can’t remember if it had unwoke parts or not.

I co raised 6 children and have seen The Wizard of Oz so many times, I’ve memorized the lines. Not a Christmas movie~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just sayin’ LOL - I hear ya. I babysat a friend’s two kiddos four nights a week back in the 90s while she worked a second job for a while. They loved “The Lion King” so I pretty much had it memorized. I could probably see it today and still know most of the lines.

I’ll wager they’re a real fun time at Christmas gatherings. You just know they ask people who come over for their vaccine papers.

My favorite Christmas movie was actually a 1945 30-minute short called “Star in the Night.” I believe it won the Academy Award for Best Short Subject.
Classic.

I highly recommend The Holiday. I was pleasantly surprised when it came out. Jack Black, of whom I wasn’t a fan, really impressed me in this film. I’ll make a point to see it. I’m not a fan of Jack Black either, but I did enjoy “School of Rock.”

Don’t think anyone is in actual blackface but they sing about missing old time minstrel shows (where white performers would wear blackface).

“Won’t be any war. These pussies will give up.”
That’s a fact. The speed at which the U.S. will surrender will stun even the Duchy of Grand Fenwick.

Never heard of it.

It’s the only chick flick my wife regularly watches where I will occasionally check in, to see the parts with the great Eli Wallach. Such a skilled and accomplished actor.

It doesn’t matter if that one is unwoke or not. They’ll get rid of it because they hate Dr. Suess.

I've only see
It's a Wonderful Life of these. But part of what make it a great movie is George Bailey is sympathetic, but he's all too human. (Like the rest of us) Forget the examples they mentioned, remember when he yells at Zuzu's teacher and storms out of the house. He behaved terribly, and he knows it.
Yes, there's hope for us who aren't always angels, lose our temper, etc.
