True. Throughout my life Democrats have moved their agenda forward when they held power. Republicans have never reversed anything Democrats do except tax increases. Even then the tax decreases the Republicans vote for benefit primarily extremely wealthy liberals. I remember well the promises to defund PBS, Planned Parenthood, and Obamacare. Once in power, the Republicans perpetuated those programs as well as thousands of social welfare programs that never achieved the promises made when the Democrats enacted them.
That’s why Biden is pushing so hard for the Build Back Better bill. It includes many new entitlements and infringements on individual liberty which Republicans, if they gain power again, will not have the desire or will to cancel.
Removing history is a problem. How will the next generation learn of the good and bad of the past? The success and failure of the past? Remove enough history and soon there is no way to prove evil happened! Monuments exist for a reason, not all exist to champion a cause, most exist to prove what happened.
How about you look at the facts. Northam is making these moves to keep Youngkin from reversing anything. He’s ceding the land to the City of Richmond.

Years back I wrote a couple of Transformers fan fictions, and part of a follow up after the G1 cartoon, and posted them on line.
Part of the subtext I used was an effort by Cybertron”s government to take back history, to classify it beyond the permission of even ranking mech’s ability to know things that actually happened.
In Genesis and Forgotten Wars this was less explicit than The Hall of Dead Gods because even if it was something the story was about, to those in the story they only had minimal ability to realize it as yet (would have been better understood by them later in books never written). Please note that to even try to tell this story and expound on how Cybertron lost its history (which is how the original cartoon comes across when taken at face value) required something special for the protagonist, something a bit more than having high rank.
The point in common with reality is that denying history is a control technique, a way to manipulate and use people.
