If possession is 90% of the law, being Presidential is 100% of reality.
What should happen is .... Some NG stars (generals) actually take the suggestion and move out and in.
Wouldn't THAT make the news, eh ?
“And it occurred to me that there wouldn’t be world hunger if you people lived WHERE THE FOOD IS!!!! Ya wanna help these people? Send ‘em all uhauls! Pack yer shit, we’ll make one trip! OHHH-OOOOHHHH!” (Or something close to that!) SAMMMMMMY!
>>> What if the locals need assistance? Doesn’t the state step in?
Assistance is not policing.
As a last resort, maybe... but I simply don’t like that option being thrown out so casually as if to normalize it.
It’s just one step closer to Federal control of local matters.
“You think the camera man could have given him a sandwich.”
>>> A “former” President BEING President ?
He is already losing a lot of his base over the vaccines.
This kind of thing doesn’t help him.
All good ideas. I can’t speak for any other cities, but in Dallas in the late 70’s and into the 80’s we had shotgun squads organized of police behind one way mirrors. We stopped an ass load of aggravated armed robberies in quick stops, gas stations, and liquor stores. The great thing was that it stopped repeat offenders and was a powerful deterrent to wanna-bes. A good Remington 870 takes care of a whole mess of trouble.
Of course today, sadly, I think society at large doesn’t have the balls for a solution like this anymore.
The National Guard is not needed. A good police presence and DAs willing to charge thieves and looters would end the problem within a year.
Detroit riots.
The 82nd and 101st were called in for that one. That was besides the NG and state police etal.
What started it? A after hours going away party the Detroit cops raided.
I live within a couple of miles of the Walnut Creek Nordstrom’s looting. My husband is now shopping for our very first firearm, because what is literally “coming over the hill” per General Wellington (as Steve Bannon says) is door to door robberies and home invasions next. I’m under no illusions.
The police in these blue cities are hand tied. National Guard would never be needed in a red state, but there blue state leaders are milk toast
I'm not far from you, just over in the next county, and this whole thing is setting my teeth on edge.
Putting troops on the street is a Castro tactic. The left wants you to experience so much suffering that you beg them to save you. There is a price. The mind that is conditioned to seeing armed forces everywhere is ready to submit to any authority.. or expert. They cant defend themselves or think for themselves.
But at least they are not looting bumpstocks.
Enforce the laws as written or vote someone in who will.

Marrived a beautiful Vietnamese gal. She was/is the best thing that ever happened to me.

What the hell is Trump talking about? National Guard?
“I wonder if Trump really knows what he is doing.”
That’s why I want Trump to have a lot of competition on the road to 2024.
It's too organized for that. These people hit all at once, clean the store out in a few minutes, and then scatter. It's not spur-of-the-moment, it's planned.
AMEN
And that right there is USC's anti-looting plan. Shoot the bastards, problem solved.
All looters, rioters and arsonists should be shot on sight.
Have the local LEOs use rubber bullets the first few times. Let it be known that at some future S&G event, real bullets will be coming their way. Choose wisely ...
