Excellent phrasing on what has occurred in Christian studies-— the “detachment of laws from the Bible”-— that being the removal of Scripture from the practice and theology of Christianity (of any Christian practices, Protestant or Roman Catholic, and probably also from Orthodox Russian or Greek, too for all we may be aware).
Thank you for the post. The school of course originated as Methodist Trinity College— then the Duke Tobacco baronial family financed the rescue of the school, and hence its name. Totally owned/run by the Duke Foundation and many other offshoots from subsequent alumni from the same.
A historical point of reference, duke affiliated textile plant labor organizing Communists initiated a rally in Greensboro housing projects, which lured in/ drew the KKK from rural NC. Some of the duke commies were armed and fired on klan that was there and a shootout resulted in 5 deaths, and dubbed ever since then as the “Greensboro Massacre”.
Constantly deflecting the fact that the riot/march was totally organized by textile/union Communist Workers Party organizers against the jewish owned Cone (nee: Cohen) textile mills (at various locations in NC. The Cone mills specialized in denim jeans fabric of high quality, used in Levi-Strauss jeans for decades)— the “reconciliation” has persisted as a lib commie cause for fundraising and a lot else all the way from 1979. The klan had been infiltrated by eff-bee-eye, but somehow NOT in the CWP organizers. So the meme has always been “the klan did it”. They didn’t, the Commies did.
Highly edited/washed details here:

Thanks. I didn’t know Duke Commies helped perpetrate the Greensboro Massacre.
I’ve been there TWICE in the past 25 years. But hey, you “know” me. :-) Stay Safe Bro.
