She is also a Christian who understands the Biblical imperative to bless Israel, and conversely the awareness of what becomes of those who curse Israel.

The Biblical imperative is to bless "the seed of Abraham." The Genesis story of Abraham says nothing about Israel.

As Paul makes clear, the "seed of Abraham" are Abraham's descendants not by blood, but by spirit (the Church).

I don't know why some Christians confuse the word "seed" with the word "Israel." Or why they ignore Paul's explanation.

Maybe it’s because if God commands me to bless, I’m going to err on the side of an abundance of blessings, rather than taking the chance to not bless a chosen people whom God has commanded to bless.

Put more bluntly, I want to make damn sure I’m on God’s side, if for no other reason than I need Him on mine.

Having spent a fair amount of time in South Africa (I once dated a South African woman *and* I love their national parks) I can attest to the fact that there's no shortage of ugliness there. Of course much can be said about the apartheid era but today, under black rule, you'll find poverty that almost equals what you'd find in Tanzania or the Republic of Congo and you'll find government corruption that almost equals what you'll find in Nigeria or North Korea.

Antisemitism? Yah,they've got that too!

Israel has everything to do with the seed of Abraham.

"Lalela Mswane is also black. Although she is only 24 and has no first-hand memories of apartheid in her country, her family no doubt suffered for generations as a result of the discriminatory segregationist racial laws that tarnished her country"

It's not nearly as simple as that. South Africa was a British colony. For these same 'generations', British laws brought peace and prosperity to South Africa. There's a reason the world's first heart transplant was performed in South Africa. It was because of British doctors and the British medical system there. That's no longer true.

The British in South Africa knew that if they allowed native South Africans to vote, they would throw out the British system and adopt the same type of corrupt governments endemic to Africa. They were right. As soon as the apartheid rules were dropped, corruption, murdering, and economic destruction overtook the country.

Mswane's family were certainly not allowed to vote until then. If you compare their lives to those of other native Africans, 'suffering' would not be the first word to use.

You’re joking right? She’s an ugly, hate-filled skank, and that nasty, insolent look on her mug clearly confirms that! Apparently you haven’t noticed it, but that same hate-filled look is now seen on countless women on every one of the Socialist, anti-American news media programs.

South Africa REDUX in the USA? Want to learn the real truth of how a once-thriving “first-world” country became a “third world” crime-ridden cesspool? Read the book by Ilana Mercer entitled ‘Into the Cannibal’s Pot: Lessons for America from Post-Apartheid South Africa’. If you live long enough you may experience the same tragedy right here in America!

I spent quite a bit of time on the beaches of Eilat in 85/86. They could hold a beauty pageant there anytime without importing anyone. Hot girls in micro bikinis carrying fully automatic weapons... Oh Yeah!

You’re right. It started as Dutch, but became British in the early 1800’s.

Ironically, apartheid South Africa blessed Israel. S.A. was a strong supporter of Israel, and provided Israel with much of the uranium needed for Israel's nuclear weapons program.

Without S.A., Israel would not have so many (or even any?) nuclear weapons?

S.A. was among the first nations to recognize Israel, whereas Israel was an early opponent of apartheid. Wiki as an interesting page on Israel-South Africa Relations

Considering that apartheid S.A. profusely blessed Israel, why wasn't S.A. blessed in return?
