What channel on Directv, please. Probably not in my package.
To: Rummyfan
I watch both. I like Succession but I LOVE Yellowstone!

I do watch ‘Succession’. well put together show. just make sure to watch in order.
Yeah, they throw a few jabs at the right, but they don’t spare the left, either. No woke stuff - which is probably what I like about it the most.

PBS Masterpiece has had some really good series. I like period pieces. And you are right, 842 channels and yet often it’s hard to find quality things to watch.I hear you. I have over five thousand free movies available on-demand, yet I often don't find anything I want to watch.

The acting is very believable and the scenery is gorgeous. I watched Hell on Wheels for 5 seasons and they had the same beautiful cinematography. The music is outstanding too. I give it 5 stars!

A heavy theme in many things I watch is the GOOD GUY(S) killing the bad guys.
So if there are no good guys in this, who do you align with/root for?

I know what you mean. I usually don’t have 2 hours to invest in a movie in one sitting so I like shows with 45 minute episodes over a few weeks of watching. I enjoy the characters much more. I just finished 5 seasons of Peaky Blinders and now I’m going through withdrawals, lol.

That's what I was going to say. The scenery is stunning really. Wife and I LOVE Yellowstone. One thing I appreciate about it is the subtleties and simplicity of common sense expounded by John, Rip, Beth, and Kayce (sp?). They have a way to simplify really complicated issues and like someone else said, it boils down to "leave my stuff alone or there will be hell to pay". The interweaving of story lines is also captivating for us and the writing is fairly clever in how simple concepts are uttered. Those are the nuances that can be missed if you are a "balls to the wall" beginning to end action type.
I understand there are is a prequel and a spin-off from Yellowstone. Should be interesting if it is the same engaging storylines.

1893 I think it’s called.
There was a bit of it woven into the season opener.
