Is that the book with cartoon child porn in it?
Whoever put it put in the first place should be arrested.

What’s controversial about a book that depicts sex between a prepubescent boy and an adult male?

When it looks like Romans 1:18-32 has been going on throughout society do not be surprised to learn when all is said and done that it had been,

Charge the librarian and others responsible with child pornography if they don’t immediately remove the book and others like it.

Children have no idea what sodomy is until some pervert introduces them to it.
There is no reason to allow schools to be part of that process.

“for suggesting that a book centered on a 10-year-old boy who is sexually abused by an older man, should be burned.”
Probably a biography about some Hollywood predator

Controversy amongst who? The authors? Publishers?
Note something here. If there are 4 people picketing or protesting something, the LSM will label it “controversial” and report on both sides regardless of whether the minority view reflects the views of less than 1% of the population. This suggests a strategy: be sure to picket and protest. Don’t spend much in resources: 4 picketers are as good as 400 for purposes of a mention.

Put books in there that are pro American and praise conservative leaders such as Trump and see how fast these special interest groups want them pulled and burned.

" . . . which tend to target texts on culturally sensitive topics -- risk depriving certain students from reading books that reflect their own lives and enhance their cultural literacy.
But it's ok to teach white kids that they are evil and to shame Christian kids by emphasizing the sins of Christian civilization. Meanwhile, the sins of Marxist dictatorships will be completely whitewashed.

My sexual orientation involves me watching two goats fornicating while being suspended overhead by a wire. I am wearing a 1920's style women's bathing suit while I eat a bagel with cream cheese and lox. And, oh yes, "Sugar, Sugar" by the Archies must be playing in the background.
Maybe I can get my self-published "memoirs" into the middle school library...

Good point.
Anything on our side is “controversial” or “extreme.”
Whatever depravity the left is pushing is the new normal. Moving of the “Overton window.”
Opposing outlawing sodomy was the middle of the road position. Then opposition to homosexual marriage was moved to being an extreme position or a “hate crime.” Questioning your 8 year old getting formal treatment and changing genders will be considered child abuse in a few years.

Notice how the headline says that it is the REMOVAL of the books that sparks controversy, not the books themselves. Very left-o-centric of them.

Maybe it's a different book than the one I saw excerpts from, but the one I saw did not characterize the sexual contact as abusive, but celebrated it.

There are public libraries and book stores. If they really must learn about getting a chopadickoffamee operation, they can go there.

t these efforts have sparked blowback from authors and advocacy groups, who say the removals -- which tend to target texts on culturally sensitive topics -- risk depriving certain students from reading books that reflect their own lives and enhance their cultural literacy. Sorry, Mr. McDuffie, you don't get to choose what our kids are educated with.
Go suck an egg.
Quite sincerely, 'Pod
