I wonder if Jocelyn Elders is still a big Eric Clapner fan in spite of the latter’s newfound impudence against the Deep State???

Too stupid to understand a metaphor?
Not just that….what about world history?
He thinks blacks are the only slaves, ever?

Too bad. I like them both. Robert Cray has his view but not every reference to the word “slave” has to do with the US Slavery nor meant to insult descendants of US slaves. It has other meanings.

I’ve seen Cray twice . Once in the ‘80’s with Clapton and Phil Collins .

Robert Cray is excellent. He comes up with the most amazing bridge chord progressions and extravagant blues turnarounds I’ve ever heard from a blue guitar player/composer.

"So this nobody, Cray, is going to get lots of woke worship and more gigs with the "right" kind of bands."
Among those who follow blues music, Cray was well-known in his heyday, but that was decades ago. Haven't heard much about him in the last twenty years.

I saw Robert Cray a few years ago. It was a decent performance, but the guy played for 50 minutes!! That was AFTER the encore. It was literally the biggest musical ripoff ever.
Those are some big shoes to fill. George No Show Jones was legendary. I saw Dickie Betts walk off after two songs and my wife saw Van Morrison leave after one. Those are the ones I can think of I’m sure there are some classic ones out there.
