The NSBA should be dissolved—or destroyed.

Well for us to even QUESTION any of this, we must be racist white supremacists, who don’t “follow the science”... or something.

In this case it looks like the NSBA was hijacked by its president for his own aggrandizement (now appointed to a Federal board). It's not easy to always be invulnerable to a determined asshole.

Education appears to be a flash point issue.

There are a few reasons for this. One factor is that parents saw what their kids were doing in school due to the remote learning done during 2020 in response to COVID-19. Parents also realized that the schools would leave them high and dry in a moment of need. Once those parents really started looking at what the schools were doing they became upset, and rightly so.

Leftists in schools have gone farther left than most parents realized. Things taught about racial issues using the lens of critical race theory, and things taught under the guise of "literature" or sex education shocked parents. Who would have thought that middle school librarians would buy books showing depictions of sexual acts involving teenagers? Who would have thought that teachers would tell any group of students that they were to blame for the problems of the world?

And then parents started to see the attitude of school board members. School boards and school administrators are used to an environment where they are never challenged. Telling lies to parents seemed like business as usual to them. Covering up a sexual assault in the girl's bathroom at the high school seemed reasonable, and business as usual to one school district. But it wasn't acceptable to the parents given their new knowledge of what was really going on in schools.

Keep up the good work. I am glad somebody is standing up for the students. They really are being shortchanged and forced to bear an unreasonable burden.
