What experience does this freak chimera bring to Transportation (the BILLIONS of dollars that involve aviation, trucking, citizen travel, trucks, vegetable shipping overland, trains/freight, container ships... and so on)? My accounting degree included 30+ upper level semester hours of accounting, taught solely by Dr. Dan Brajcich, a genius of a professor who never used numbers. He focused solely on the theory behind every accounting problem, and his tests were all essay. Anyone who learned from him developed an expertise in critical thinking unmatched in today's academic world.
Masters Degree in Management from Webster University.
PHD (j/k) in Leadership from 8 years as an Army ADA Officer. 4 years in Germany: Platoon Leader, Maintenance Officer, Executive Officer, and Battalion S-4 (Supply Officer). 4 years at Fort Bliss: Operations Officer at what was then known as the Air Defense Board, the agency that tested weapons in development. Last job was as Battery Commander of a 300+ soldier unit.
My civilian career was mostly as a CPA and Controller for several businesses, and 5 years at the FDIC during the bank crisis, where most of my work was on the closing of over 500 banks. Now quasi-retired, I'm working for a consortium of small, but hugely profitable businesses in Grapevine, Texas.
Lastly, there's book smarts, and practical smarts. I think I check the boxes on both.
