That’s fine, but it’s just really theory isn’t it, as there’s no practical evidence that masked cities, states, or environments of any kind have any noticeably lower rates of covid infection than unmasked ones, from all the information I’ve seen.
In fact that s why there’s still no actual scientific studies with actual data showing masks help reduce transmission either, from what I understand, but if you know of any, please let me know.
The reason this would be important, is that mask wearing has been linked to negative health effects, including being responsible for many deaths during the Spanish Flu pandemic, via bacteria (which masks DO capture) leading to pneumonia.
Thanks.
You are more or less right - the only caveat is that there are tons of studies of “mandates”, I have yet to read a single one which measured % of masks worn and compared that to % worn in a “non-mandate” city, state, or location.
I know for sure that in mandate states, there was a lot of non-mask wearing, and in non-mandate states, there was a lot of mask wearing.
In hospitals, however, where the “mandate” is real, infection rates in the work force dropped quickly and substantially in late March and early April 2020 and have stayed low.
Make of it what you will. For non-hospital locations, it no longer matters because people are done with it, mandate or no mandate.
Pure horse shit.
If the poll is accurate why do I see perhaps 1 in 20 wearing a mask in Walmart. At a sports event it is even less.
The poll is political theater..
