the war of words and shipnapping heats up with the French PM declaring, "Britain must be PUNISHED to show EU states that 'leaving is more damaging than remaining', in a twin story
HERE to which Lord Frost, who heads the Brexit committee, responded, " if France goes ahead with its plans then the EU would be in breach of the Brexit deal and the UK would retaliate by rolling out tougher enforcement action in British waters. "
And so it goes on.

Finally! A high level international conflict that America has nothing to do with. Hoo-Ray!

Say!
I wonder if this Le Harve port is anywhere near the French port of Le Havre?

Any European power picking a naval fight with Her Majesty’s Royal Navy is the equivalent of throwing the rabbit into the briar patch.

Have you been to that part of France before?

As history shows, from trade wars, larger conflicts often grow.

It just gets better and better. /s
When was the last time these two countries had a war? 1812?
Not that this is akin to war but the tensions are high and wars have been fought for less in the past.
I would think this is some kind of proxy, with the UK seen as aligned with the USA vs the EU.

I was making a jest.
The Daily Fail misspelled Le Havre. There is no "port of Le Harve".
Never been to France, but I know of Le Havre because of D-Day history.

Le Frogs have chosen NOW to rattle the BREXIT knives again, to send a warning message to the others that are wavering - like Poland and Hungary...

It was 1815 that we beat Napoleon (for which they’ve never forgiven us). But as recently as 1941 we were fighting the Vichy French in Syria (although the Free French were fighting alongside the Allies on that occasion).

Over the years, France and England have fought many times.
Great fun to see it happen again in these times.
