“At the moment, this does not apply to our union-represented employees as we are in discussion with the unions. We will share more details when they are made available.”

I moved one phone to Red Pocket from Verizon. It works. All of our phones will be moved to another carrier. Waiting to see who does not do this vaccine nonsense.

If customers walk, stand with employees, Verizon will cave.

My personal count is at 36 friends that will be unemployed. Out of them, 30 are conscientious objectors, 1 is objecting on religious grounds, and 5 have doctors who have flat out rejected the vaccines for them. None of the companies are giving them any exemptions at all -- even the ones where the medical specialists are recommending against the vax.
A layoff by any other name, I figure it.

thelayoff.com is a really interesting site, and one of the comments about the vaccine is that it may just be a reduction in force by another name.

This schedule is based on the current and anticipated U.S. federal requirementsI would hope that Verizon realizes that they are playing a very expensive game here mandating that employees get vaccinated else lose their jobs with no federal laws dictating that they are obligated to do what they are doing?

Was under CWA in S Fl and IBEW with SNET up N.Then back to CWA in Melbourne.
I felt IBEW was way stronger than CWA.
Not a union type only belonged (in Fl) because I couldn’t get my job done if word got out I wasn’t a member. Up N had to belong.

Undesirables are dehumanized by:
- first prejudicing the rest against them,
- Biden: “The vast majority of Americans are doing the right thing... This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated.”
- Biden: "We're going to protect vaccinated workers from their unvaccinated co-workers."
- Don Lemon (CNN): "I think we have to stop coddling people when it comes to … the vaccines, saying ‘Oh you can’t shame them. You can’t call them stupid.' Yes, they are... The people who are not getting vaccines who are believing the lies on the internet instead of science, it's time to start shaming them or leave them behind."
- Don Lemon (CNN): "most of the people I know who are vaccinated are irritated and really impatient at this point with those who are refusing for whatever reason to do this easy thing to save us from this nightmare pandemic."
- Joy Reid (MSNBC): "most of the people I know who are vaccinated are irritated and really impatient at this point with those who are refusing for whatever reason to do this easy thing to save us from this nightmare pandemic."
- then they are made the scapegoats for whatever goes wrong,
- Biden: "The unvaccinated overcrowd our hospitals or overrun the emergency rooms and intensive care units, leaving no room for someone with a heart attack or pancreatitis or cancer."
- Joy Reid (MSNBC): "We begin The Reidout with a message—OK, we get it! COVID is the precious and you love it. You love COVID so much you want it to spread into schools, at the office, in the Walmart, on the cruise ships and in the club..."
- then they are discriminated against,
- can't fly
- can't dine out
- can't go to gyms
- can't go to shows, sports events
- then they are persecuted.
- fired from jobs
- denied unemployment benefits
- denied medical treatments, surgeries
- ???
Never forget.

I was IBEW, now I’m a contractor. Up here IBEW is definitely stronger. (Just outside Philly)
An aside - I was stationed at Patrick AFB.

Thanks for that link. I’m finding this idea this is all about “trimming the fat” more and more reasonable.

A layoff by any other name... That's exactly what it is. The SEC and the Department of Labor are in on the scam. These companies are affecting layoffs but don't want to have their stock values take a hit.
Verizon already saw strikes back in 2016 when they cut benefits to employees and outsourced support to oversease operations.
It's going to be difficult for the company to function with less talent, especially when those who didn't get laid off have to deal with the increased workload. As the ADE health complications continue for those who got the Jim Jones Jab, expect to see entire companies disappear in mergers and consolidations.
To: FoundinTexas
I’ve been waiting to switch from Verizon for awhile. It will cost me a bundle but this is the time.
In fact I’m going to stop frequenting local businesses who force the jab AND force masking. And I will make sure they know why I’m dropping them. I’ve warned a couple of them already. I recommend everyone do this.
