Actually the law says $100,000 and/or up to life in prison. They are being charged with transferring classified info. I think the 100,000 fine is there for people who may have unwittingly transferred info, such as someone who had info on his laptop, brought it home, and the laptop was stolen. In this case, it is closer to espionage. The only reason why they are not charged with that is that they were not actually working for a foreign government. Hopefully it is a non Obama judge that hears the case he he leans more towards espionage and goes for the life sentence.

They were working for a foreign country. That country ratted them out to the FBI

That’s funny right there.

Right now they’re in the hands of a federal magistrate judge, Robert W. Trumble, who was appointed magistrate during the chief judgeship of a Dubya judge, John Preston Bailey [Northern District of West Virginia].

The interesting thing is that they declared they we’re indigent and got a court appointed lawyer. That means they have no savings and their house is under water. He is a nuclear engineer which means a salary north of $140k. She’s a private school teacher at an elite school in Annapolis. She has to have a salary of at least $80k. I think I’m low balling their salaries but they obviously are having big money issues. Gambling? Drugs?

Shockingly, it wasn’t “treason”. It was “just” espionage.

But then, if one can be killed for espionage, why not treason?

Don’t count on a small private school paying much. Trust me. And I live 20 mi from them. Teachers leave trying to get cushy pubic school jobs all the time.

Their 2 young kids are now legally pretty much parentless.

Traitors had all kinds of anti-Trump and BLM shit on their social media.

Commies will sacrifice anyone and anything for their sick ideology. This proves it. Filthy scum.

Keelhaul them and then hang them.

According to land records, they paid $430k to buy their house in 2014. They have refinanced a couple of times with the latest being for $406k in September 2020. She was a teacher at the Key School, a well-regarded private school in Annapolis. Teachers at those kinds of schools don't get paid very much. I think $80k is probably high. Still, they were probably pushing $200k between them, which affords a nice lifestyle even in Annapolis. I agree with you that they were spending well beyond their means.

All liberals that I know are either trustfunders or broke. They either got their money handed to them or don’t know how to manage their own money. None of them can make it on their own.

They betrayed this country.

They betrayed us.

Why did the judge appoint a public defender. These two are well off financially. Let them hire their own attorney.
