Once you had the Measles you are immune and never get them. I also had them, and I had the Mumbs. I got the measles from a kid who had just moved with her parents to the house next to the one my parents rented. They had come from Silecia or somewhere like that.

When I grew up parents kept their kids out of school per doctor's orders.

as a kid in the late 50’s I had measles, mumps, chickenpox all from the kids that lived around us who were older and in school. no need for a vaccine then
