Due to the nutscar “diversity program”
They banned the a confederate flag. That flag is about as NASCAR as it gets. NASCAR went woke. The fans should have made NASCAR go broke.
The other drivers must suck badly then since he was the winner

Not neccessarily. You must not be familiar with Nascar. If a race gets called because of rain and it’e past the half way point, the race is considered an official race. He just happened to be up front at the time. A driver could be the last driver on the lead lap and about to get lapped when the caution flag for rain is called. Every other driver in the field could have thought it was going to quit raining and the race would resume. They might have needed tires or fuel and decided to take a chance and pit. That other lone driver could have decided to roll the dice and not pit and hope the race gets called. Not saying that’s what happened in this case. But a win is a win, but any competitor will tell you it’s not the same as racing for the win.
IIRC- He did pass others. I was halfway towards a nap when they pulled the cars into a black flag with 3 laps remaining in segment 2. As far as calling the race for rain. They had done the 1/2 way lap count and it was raining with more rain on the way. It takes 2+ hours to dry the track and it would have been too dark to continue. Talledega doesn’t have any track lighting.
I think they should add lights and cover over the track surface. That’ll solve the issue.
And for the first time I heard them say that the end of Segment 2 also qualifies as a race stopper just like the 1/2 way count. The Sunday race was the first time I’ve heard that. (But You know nutscar- Rule Change of the hour...)
I think it depends on the length of the track. Talladega half way. Richmond end of segment 2, and so on.
“Every sow finds an acorn once in awhile.” But you know that, your just being obtuse. He’s rated in the “twenties” in cup series standings.
I’ll stand by my original post stating that Scott was a far superior driver especially considering the circumstances in which he was forced to compete
Bubba is instrumental in my giving up watching NASCAR.
His whinning about the ‘noose’ was bad enough but the reaction of NASCAR, fellow drivers and crew sealed it for me.
Haven’t watched a race, even a lap since then.
Same with NFL, MLB, NBA.
My Sundays are free now for things more productive.
only race i’ve seen was Daytona
This was at Talladega on Sunday.
Condensed Race:
