Vancouver is a big city. Just avoid the junkie part of town, which is the Downtown, East Side.

So sad. I worked for a major publication in New York, from my post in Georgia. My editors and my boss, were liberals. They revered New York, talked such praise. (Interestingly, my editors were also passionate about Paris). Anyhoo, I think of my senior staff members and boss now, all of whom thought so highly of NY, and wonder if they feel any discomfort knowing that NY (and Paris), and their liberal party, is going to shith.

When you consider how many millions upon millions of dollars were wasted on “rehab” programs for these people who could not manage to get through a day without drugging themselves senseless, it’s sickening. If people showed a little spine instead of running to deaden themselves from the mess they made of their lives, think about all the cartel crime that would be prevented, all the murders, assaults, bankruptcies, etc. It is their weakness that fuels all these other crimes. So it’s not a “victimless” crime to use illicit drugs.

I’m sorry to hear NYC is reverting to the 70s and 80s. It was a nice place after Guiliani cleaned it up and Bloomberg seemed to maintain order.

SF is a cesspool now - not fit for human habitation. It does not surprise me that NYC is the same as the offices are all vacant. It’s not far from Escape from New York - just add a fence and remove the remaining NYPD.
